My name is Rodge Mojado, and I’m reaching out not just as a son, but as someone desperately fighting for the life of the man who quietly shaped mine.

My father, Arnel Mojado, is not the loud or flashy kind. He’s the kind of man who never asked for much, but gave all he had—often in ways that went unnoticed. He’s calm, sometimes playful, and always there in the quiet moments: checking if you’ve eaten, preparing scrambled eggs and bread when that’s all there is, waiting until we were asleep just to watch us in peace. His love wasn’t in grand gestures—it was in his presence, his effort, and his steady care for his wife and four children.
Last Saturday night, July 26, he suffered a severe stroke. He’s now in critical condition in the ICU at Our Lourdes Hospital in Sta. Mesa, Manila. The doctors have told us that he urgently needs brain surgery—without it, his chances of survival are very low.
The cost of the operation alone is between ₱800,000 and ₱1,500,000. That doesn’t yet include his mounting ICU bills, medications, and private room charges. As a family, we’re doing all we can—seeking support from government programs, preparing for hospital transfer options, and even tapping every connection we know. But the hospital requires a significant amount before proceeding with surgery. Time is not on our side.
This is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do—ask for help so publicly. But I know there are people out there, parents and children alike, who understand what it means to fight for someone who once carried you through life.
We humbly ask for your support. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward saving my father’s life—covering the surgery, the ICU care, the medications, and the long road to recovery. And if you can’t give financially, your prayers, words of encouragement, or simply sharing this page will mean more than you know.
